I can't remember much of my exam days and how I actually behaved back then when I was exam-pressured.
But I remember this one particular occasion which I think is so deeply ingrained in my memory slot, due to its great impact on me.
I was in first year science, Lembah Pantai. I hated Botany because the lecturer was an American guy with a thick accent. He also gave lecture in malay which made things worst. No matter how much I strained to listen and grasp his words, it was in vain.
When Botany exams neared, I panicked because I knew nothing. The day before the exams, I marched into the surau with loads of Botany text-books and notes, trying to burn my midnight candle. In the end, in sheer frustration, I slept, with the pile of books and notes as my pillow! Perhaps I was hoping to absorb the knowledge passively! hehe
Fi, that was amongst the worst episodes of my exam life. Never put yourself in that shoes of mine.
Perhaps your up and coming trip to Instanbul can motivate you to study well?
Mid-life crisis is too strong a word to use. Late adolescence crisis is more like it! hehe
